I am CEO of Crosslayer Labs where I oversee the development of the leading solution to defend against Internet infrastructure attacks. Previously I was research software engineer at Princeton University in the CS and ELE departments. I primarily worked under professors Prateek Mittal and (now Princeton University provost) Jennifer Rexford on Internet security and privacy. I specialize in understanding and defending against cross-layer network attacks and have done extensive research on the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). I am an inventor of Multi-Perspective Issuance Corroboration (MPIC) which helps protect HTTPS connections from BGP attacks. MPIC helps secure the issuance of all ~8 million HTTPS certificates signed every day as it is mandated by the CA/Browser Forum through an industry standard I wrote. I am also a founder of the Open Multi-Perspective Issuance Corroboration Project (Open MPIC) which provides open-source implementations of MPIC which are used in production by several leading CAs.

Working at the intersection of defence, robotics, and autonomous systems, I create hardware that performs reliably in the world’s most demanding environments. My work is grounded in direct collaboration with end users — military operators, EOD technicians, and field specialists — ensuring every design decision is shaped by real operational needs. As Founder of Seeing Systems, I lead the design of autonomous aircraft capable of independent operation and resistance to electronic warfare. At Wildcat I.S., I designed EOD training and diagnostic systems now used by armed forces across Europe — merging advanced electronics with ergonomic, human-centred design. My goal is to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and real-world usability.

Building Mendral, an always-on AI DevOps Engineer that observes, diagnoses, and fixes CI and delivery reliability issues. Think self-healing pipelines. Previously co-founded Dagger (YC W19), making complex software workflows repeatable and reliable. Before that, I was the first hire and eventually VP Engineering at Docker (formerly dotCloud). From 2010 onward, I scaled the team from 3 to 100+, and built and led teams behind Docker CE, EE, Docker Desktop, Compose, and the open-source core that helped reshape modern infrastructure. Angel investor and advisor to early-stage startups since 2018. I care about infrastructure, automation, developer productivity, and building cultures that turn ambition into sustained engineering velocity.

Building Mendral, an AI DevOps Engineer that fixes CI before you notice it's broken. I wrote Docker's first lines of code. Back in 2011 at dotCloud, I helped create what eventually became known as Docker. Then I set up Docker's first CI in 2014 and watched it break in all the ways CI still breaks today. After 7 years at Docker, I co-founded Dagger with Sam Alba and Solomon Hykes to make pipelines portable. Now we're back at YC (W26) building Mendral. After 15 years, I still think CI is a problem worth solving. Ex-Google (Storage Infrastructure) · Ex-Microsoft · 2× YC founder
